General Information about the Event
Zagreb has previously hosted this prestigious university futsal competition twice, showcasing its commitment to university sports excellence. Croatian universities have frequently achieved podium finishes in futsal over the past two decades, highlighting the strength of their programs and their dedication to the sport. The competition is known for its fierce rivalry and high-quality futsal, partly due to the fact that many players balance their sporting careers alongside their academic studies or professional work. This unique aspect makes futsal one of the most popular university sports across Europe.
The 7th edition of this championship was hosted in Zagreb in 2010 as well in 2016 during EUG Zagreb-Rijeka, and this year's 14th edition will once again be held in Croatia, in the vibrant city of Zagreb. A total of up to 24 men’s teams and 16 women’s teams, representing universities from across Europe, are expected to compete over the course of one week in four major Zagreb sports venues. The opening ceremony will be held at Dražen Petrović Sports Hall.
